Thanks, Vic. Yeah, I've found that the books I cherished the most over the years usually aren't award-winners. They tend to be books I related to the most, which aren't necessarily books others relate to either. Reading can be such a personal experience. But that's what makes it fun.
This issue was timely. I’m currently slogging through a book which has brought me no joy for 150 pages, simply to see why it has won multiple awards.
